WDLS Harvard 2010: CALL FOR REGISTRATION!

The first ever major Diversity Conference at Harvard!!!!

Building on the unprecedented success of a sold-out World Diversity Leadership Summit 2009, the WDLS will accomplish yet another pioneering moment: the first ever major corporate diversity conference hosted at Harvard University's esteemed Medical School conference center. The WDLS 2010 will be the most impactful conference of the diversity space with such "firsts" as:

  • C-Suite Summit hosted by a leading Harvard professor and with 50 C-suite executives already committed (afternoon of Monday September 13th)
  • The world's first global diversity innovation whitepaper featuring 10 great organizations
  • The provision of WDLS Harvard 2010 educational certificates

EMC, one of the world's leading technology companies with 46,000 employees globally and headquarters based outside of Boston is the official conference title partner.

Given that last year's conference was sold out with nearly 430 participants, and that this year's conference will be a first of its kind diversity leadership session at Harvard, do not wait until the last minute this year, because registrations will be gone.

Go to the website and register now, to get an experience of a lifetime!

New Publication by the British Council on OPENCities!

Title: "Understanding OPENCities"
"Understanding OPENCities" is one of 4 reports being prepared in 2010 by the British Council. Each report covers a key issue that has been developed within the OPENCities project and illustrates it with practical case studies from the cities that are participating in the project and its research, and other cities considered of interest

  • Understanding OPENCities
  • Leadership and Governance of OPENCities
  • Internationalisation of OPENCities
  • Managing Diversity in OPENCities
Understanding OPENCities builds the case for city openness and asks:
  • What are the ingredients necessary to achieve city openness?
  •  What are the policies and strategies which are essential or desirable?

Whilst cities are all different and such difference must be recognised, there are some distinctive aspects important for city development and success. One of these is promoting openness in the city features case studies from Madrid, Dublin, Toronto, Auckland, and Amsterdam.

OPENCities is a British Council project in partnership with cities around the world. The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and to increase appreciation of the UK's creative ideas and achievements. We are registered in England as a charity.
