Birgit Beck currently holds the role as Head of Global Talent Management & Learning for the OMV Group, the leading energy group in Central & Eastern Europe, based in Vienna/Austria.
Birgit brings more than 15 years of professional experience in various HR roles and organizations. She joined OMV in 2001, and has been dedicated to the Exploration & Production division for the past years. From 2003 – 2010, she was heading the operational HR Management for this division, where the main focus was on international HR Management topics, Merger & Acquisition projects, development of local resources in OMVs international branch offices and supporting the business strategy with modern and efficient HR tools and instruments.
In January 2011, Birgit assumed the responsibility for Global Talent Management & Learning within OMV. She is responsible for delivering a global talent strategy for OMV to meet the leadership and capability needs of the organization and to support the company’s growth and diversity strategy. Her main focus area is to ensure a sufficient pipeline of leadership talents and experts in accordance with current and future strategic needs of the company.
Birgit was born in 1972 and holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from Universität Innsbruck and Northern Illinois University, US.
