Erwin Greiner

Former School principal
Consultant for secondary schools in Vienna and in Germany

Erwin Greiner studied English, Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Vienna. He worked as a teacher in a Viennese secondary school for twenty years. Then he became vice-principal of a secondary school that is not located on land, but on board a ship that lies in the River Danube (“Schulschiff”). After that he worked as principal of a newly-founded secondary school in Vienna’s 22nd district for twelve years. He retired from that post in 2009.
During his time at these schools he also worked as a journalist for the national Austrian TV and radio company ORF and for a sports magazine.
Currently he is working as a consultant for secondary schools in Vienna and in Germany, supporting them in their school development processes and in organizational matters. He has also just started working on a study on “Diversity in Education”
