Wolfgang Renezeder

Head of Unit for EU Policy Issues
Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs

Dr. Wolfgang Renezeder holds a doctorate in law from the University of Vienna. He joined the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1998 and worked in the Department of the Americas.
From 2000 to 2003, he participated in the negotiation and implementation of the international agreements of the Austrian Reconciliation Fund which was established in December 2000 to disburse compensation payments to former forced laborers of the Nazi regime.
From 2003 to 2006, he was posted in Moscow as First Secretary for Political and Economic Affairs at the Austrian Embassy. From 2006 to 2010 he served as Director of the Austrian Press and Information Service at the Embassy of Austria in Washington, D.C..
Since September 2010 he has been Head of Unit for EU Policy Issues at the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs.
