Mr. Kroat-Reder is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability of OMV (Austria’s largest listed industrial oil company). He studied Law and Business Studies at the Vienna University and at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, California, USA. In 1995 he did his judicial clerkship year at various district and regional courts and at the regional court community for ZRS Wien (civil law matters). In 1995 he
was a foreign associate at Bible, Hoy, Trachok & Wadhams, USA. From 1996 to 1999 Mr. Kroat-Reder was an attorney candidate at the Chambers of the barrister Hügel Dallmann & Partner. He passed his Attorney’s examination with honours and afterwards was an attorney candidate at Hügel & Partner. Mr. Kroat- Reder was then a Juniorpartner at Haarmann Hemmelrath Hügel. In 2002 Hilmar was Head of Corporate Development & M&A/Legal and in 2006 he was Vice President of the Office of the CEO Dr. Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer. Since 2008 Mr. Kroat-Reder is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Director of Legal Affairs, General Secretariat, HSE and CSR at OMV.
He was born in Klagenfurt, in 1971.
