Reinhold Lopatka

Reinhold Lopatka graduated from the Faculty of Law with an LL.D. (Doctor of laws) at the University of Graz in 1982 and became Assistant Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law. In 1986 Reinhold Lopatka started his career as the youngest member of the Styrian Parliament and he stayed a member of the state parliament until 2003. From 1993 to 2001 he held the position of the Governmental whip of the Styrian People‘s Party and
from 2000 to 2003 he also acted as Leader of People‘s Party parliamentary group in the Styrian Parlia- ment. In the very same year Reinhold Lopatka became Member of Parliament (National Assembly) and Secretary General of the Austrian People‘s Party, two functions he fulfilled until 2007. From 2007 to 2008 he served as State Secretary for Sport at the Federal Chancellery, where he had to organize the European Football-Championship (EURO 2008) until he assumed the position of State Secretary of the Republic of Austria at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance on 2 December 2008.
Mr. Lopatka was born 1960 in Vorau/Styria, Austria.
