Anthony Löwstedt

Junior Research Professor
Webster University Vienna

After studying at the University of Göteborg, Anthony Löwstedt received a scholarship to study Philosophy in Vienna, where he stayed and married a black American, 24 years ago. Mr. Anthony Löwstedt has worked for the International Press Institute, a human rights organisation and media industry interest group for ten years. He is a lecturer at Bir Zeit University in the West Bank and at Webster University Vienna, where he has also
been a researcher since 2007. He worked as a senior media consultant for the UNDP in the West Bank and has championed diversity in various publications and at UNESCO conferences in Paris, Alexand- ria, and Pretoria, and elsewhere. He was born in Sweden to a Swedish father and British mother and grew up in Sweden and in Hong Kong.
