Astrid Segert

Astrid Segert works at the Department of Sociology of the Institute for Advanced Stu- dies, which was founded in 1963 by two prominent Austrians living in exile, the sociolo- gist Paul F. Lazarsfeld and the economist Oskar Morgenstern. Astrid holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and has more than 20 years of experience with empirical research in social inequality. She works with issues of intersectionality of class, gender and race in pro-
cesses of inclusion and exclusion of migrants in Austria. She is also interested in cross-linking different social and ethnic groups.
