Gabrielle Costigan
Regional Manager for Middle East and Australasia OMV E&P
Currently, Mrs. Costigan holds the position of Regional Manager for Middle East and Australasia and is responsible for the structured and integrated overview of the oil explo- ration and production activities for OMV in the abovementioned regions. Furthermore, she supports OMV in the definition of business strategy, business development and commercial matters. Previously, Gabrielle was Head of the Global Program Management at OMV which included setting the global directive for all geographies in the areas of pro-
ject portfolio management, strategic IT assessments, restructuring organizations, aligning the portfolio stakeholders towards OMV’s performance. After university, Gabrielle started working for one of the world’s biggest Management Consulting Com- pany called Accenture in Sydney and was then transferred to the Vienna office in 2001. Her final position at Accenture was as Manager in the Austrian practice. The clients were predominantly cross- industry, with special focus on supply chain management topics and large strategic implementations/ transformation engagements specifically in the area of production process, material management and sales and distribution.
Moreover, Mrs. Costigan was the co-lead in setting up the Accenture Women Initiative to promote professional women in the workplace. This involved setting up the program and training requirements and meetings across the Austria-Switzerland-Germany region. She was the country lead for the Inter- national Women’s Day (IWD scheduled on 8th May) and presented Accenture world-wide. In addition, Gabrielle also held speeches and discussion forums for the World Women Work regarding the maximi- zation of potentials in a competitive, international workplace.
Currently, Mrs. Costigan also holds the position of Vice President of a non profit organization called OzCon Vienna, which is affiliated with the Australian Embassy in Vienna. The organization aims at pro- moting the social integration of all Australians living in Austria for a shorter or longer period of time and ensures that bi-lateral relations with the Austrian-Australian Society are maintained.
