Tomas Friedmann
Director, Literaturhaus Salzburg
Mr. Friedmann studied German language and literature studies and journalism and has previously worked as a radio journalist and a literature editor for ORF (the Austrian National Broadcasting Association), as a press speaker (for the Austrian „Grüne“Green party) and as an author. Furthermore, since 1993 he has been the director of the „Literaturhaus“in Salzburg and since 2007 the director of the umbrella organisation for cultural sites in Salzburg (which currently counts 77 members and 1 million visitors). He
has written in numerous literature magazines, anthologies and intervened in radio stations. He was a dramaturgist and directed plays for the theatre and radio plays. He has also taken part in readings, presentations, lectureships, workshops and conferences.

Born in 1961 in Linz, Austria, Mr. Friedman has been living in Salzburg since 1983 and is a single parent.
